Echoes from the Deep

Echoes from the Deep: A Poetic Journey into the Titanic’s Secrets
For over a century, the story of the RMS Titanic has been a haunting reminder of human ambition, fragility, and the raw power of the ocean. My lifelong fascination with the "unsinkable" ship—sparked as a child in Poole, Dorset, by the classic film A Night to Remember—has finally culminated in my new collection of poetry, Titanic Conspiracy: Beneath the Waves.
This book is more than a historical retelling; it is an immersive exploration of the emotional truths and enduring mysteries that now follow me to my new home in Ireland.
A Glimpse into the Tragedy
From page 58 of the book, these verses capture the haunting transition from a night of grandeur to one of cold, dark reality:

In the depths of the night, as the stars held their breath,
Titanic sailed on, unaware of her death.
With grandeur and pride, she cut through the sea,But fate had a whisper, a dark prophecy.
Incredible, it seemed, as the vessel drew near,
A collision approached, yet few sensed the fear.
Like a broadside from battleships, fierce and profound,
But the impact was muted, a ghostly sound.

Why "Conspiracy"?
The title reflects the many "what ifs" and provocative theories that have emerged over decades. From survivor testimonies to historical media, these poems delve into the heart-wrenching losses and the profound questions that continue to surround the disaster.
