A Tapestry of Kindness

A Poem for Random acts of Kindness Day

By Malcolm Tilsed

On February seventeenth, we gather near,

To weave a tapestry of kindness, sincere.

A day to share warmth, to uplift and inspire,

To light up the world with a compassionate fire.

A smile to a stranger, a helping hand,

A simple gesture, a moment so grand.

In bustling cities or quiet small towns,

Kindness can flourish where love knows no bounds.

A note left behind, with words that uplift,

A small act of kindness, a beautiful gift.

From sharing a meal to lending an ear,

Each thoughtful action brings joy and cheer.

Let’s paint the world with colors so bright,

With kindness as our brush, let’s spread the light.

For in every heart, there’s a spark waiting to grow,

A chance to connect, to let our love flow.

So on this special day, let’s take a stand,

To sprinkle compassion across this vast land.

Together we’ll rise. Hand in hand we’ll find,

The magic that happens when we’re truly kind.
